Started originally in 1995, GlobalSA was one of the first non dial-up Internet Service Providers (ISP) in South Africa. Not only were we the very first local hosting company to offer an automated administration backroom, but also the first to offer sub-account hosting, fully automated domain name registrations and reseller incentives.
At the outset we provided purely email and Internet services but have since moved on to become a first-tier web-hosting and data networking provider offering world-class internet services on one of the most leading-edge and technologically advanced dedicated hosting environments in the country.
In 2003, using the collective years of internet communications’ experience, the company diversified and moved toward networking platforms – building and implementing LAN’s and WAN’s for the SME market across South Africa.
In 2007 we again made a bold decision to move into the globally emerging market of wireless communication. A new world of business opportunities have opened since.

Simon Thomas

Simon was one of the original founders of GlobalSA back in 1995. When the partnership dissolved a few years later he continued to manage GlobalSA to this day.
Apart from a brief stint in the banking fraternity, Simon has spent his professional life in the IT industry and the last 25 years specifically in the Internet sector. This brings a wealth of working technical experience across a plethora of internet platforms and technologies.
Over the years he has spent countless hours of research and undergone numerous trial and error scenarios to find, design and implement complex, customized Internet connectivity solutions for clients, often incorporating third party applications and protocols.
